Teaching at the Chetham's International Piano Summer School 2026

From 12-17th August 2026, Yuanfan will be teaching piano, composition, and improvisation at Chetham's International Piano Summer School 2026 in Manchester: the biggest piano summer school in Europe which also celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. Yuanfan will also be performing in two concerts during the week.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Chetham's International Piano Summer School, Yuanfan was one of 25 composers commissioned (alongside the likes of Sir Stephen Hough, Joanna MacGregor etc.) to write a piece for a new anthology of 25 new piano miniatures.
Copies of this extraordinary collection of pieces will be published in a single album by Forsyths, with proceeds in aid of the Help Musicians UK charity.
Yuanfan's new 'Prelude in Pop' will be premiered this evening. He will also premiere 'Scherzino' by Gary Carpenter.
